With REOs, Buyer Beware!

April 22, 2011 · 2 comments

I had a bad (and almost VERY EXPENSIVE) experience with an REO purchase I was working on this week, and I thought I would share it with my readers to hopefully help you guys and gals avoid any similar experiences in your investing careers.

I’ve turned it into a “sticky” article for future readers to find as well:

Always Remember: BUYERS BEWARE!

If you have any similar horror stories, let my readers know…we have to look out for each other…

    J Scott,

This is a great post for anyone involved in buying houses in general. Not only could this apply to REO’s but also other listings. It seems like your detective work and connecting the dots really paid off and saved you on this. Thanks for the heads up and reminder about doing due dilligence, especially on REO’s, before jumping into a transaction. Thanks for the heads-up. Love your website!

    Ryan –

Great point, thanks! I’ve already updated my article with that point…
