The response to my two books (The Book on Flipping Houses and The Book on Estimating Rehab Costs) has been tremendous! They are two of the highest ranking books on Amazon in the Real Estate category, and one of the most common requests I’ve gotten since their has been about doing a book on real estate development and new construction. I fully documented my first new construction project a couple years ago, and I decided to put together a detailed diary the project, from beginning to end.
I originally created this case study in a thread on BiggerPockets, and it became one of the longest threads in BiggerPockets history. To make it easier to read/follow, I took all the content from the thread and I created an eBook titled “Diary of a New Construction Project,” which I wanted to make available to everyone who follows this site. The case study includes every detail of the project, including pictures, detailed financials, rehab costs, links to bids/invoices, etc.

Very nice, I have the book on flipping and I just ordered the rehab cost book…any info from you is A+….I wish you lived out here in CA. I would actually pay money to be taken under your wing so I could see first hand how it’s done. Maybe that’s what you need to do…there are so many reality shows going on right now but to have one where you take people under your wing and basically walk them through their first property…..man…Priceless! That’s great tv right there, I can see HGTV ratings go through the roof….
I recently ordered the book on flipping houses digital copy from a NOOK. They don’t offer the estimating rehab costs book. Does your company sell just the estimating rehab costs book without having to re-buy the flipping houses book?
