House #23: Inspection

April 15, 2011 · 0 comments

The buyer of The Horsey House had his inspection today…

As I suspected, with the house only being 8 years old and us doing a nearly full cosmetic remodel, there were very few issues found. A missing light socket in the garage, a couple doors that don’t latch as easily as they should, a storm door that doesn’t lock, etc. Basically, about an hours worth of work for my project manager or handyman.

Additionally, the inspection company did a termite inspection, and found evidence of a termites along one exterior wall. No damage done, but it will add another $500 in termite treatments and termite bond, which is perfectly reasonable that we should cover.

Hopefully we’ll have the first appraisal on this one in the next week or so, which will be the next big hurdle…
