Yes, that’s true in all states (it’s a standard FNMA addenda that you have to sign)…

As for getting it removed, only the asset manager at FNMA has the authority to remove it. Your best bet is to put a stipulation in your offer (or do it as an amendment after the offer is accepted) that says they’ll remove the restriction.

We’ve tried this 4 times now…twice they agreed to remove the restriction, and twice they refused. So, it could go either way…

I remember from the post “no more skyline house” that you said Fannie Mae puts a deed restriction on all there properties. Saying that you can’t resell for at least 90 days.

1. Is that true in all states?

2. How can the listing agents remove it? The listing agents have no real power, right?
