Bilge -

We got a quote for $2600 to do all demo of moldy surfaces, cleaning of all surfaces, treating the entire residence with an anti-microbial, replacing a moldy vapor barrier in the crawl space, and doing 10 hours of "ozonation" with another anti-microbial. We negotiated down to $2000, which is what we're paying.

We're also paying another $400 to clean all the HVAC ducts with an anti-microbial agent.

So, total extra cost for the mold remediation was $2400, but some of the work that is being done (some demo and replacement of the vapor barrier) overlaps with other stuff we are contracting to do, so there will be a bit of a savings from the other contractors as well.

Ultimately, it's costing us about $2000 extra, which is about half of our "surprise" budget for this one. So, hopefully there aren't too many more surprises!

Glad to hear you can finally get your workers on another project. I will be very curious to see what the mold remediation costs in the end. Good luck.

I got the flu the day after I got there, was in bed for a couple days, played one event and then came home early. Worst WSOP trip EVER!

But, the one day I was healthy was a lot of fun... :)
