We negotiated down to $2000, which is what we're paying. We're also paying another $400 to clean all the HVAC ducts with an anti-microbial agent. So, total extra cost for the mold remediation was $2400, but some of the work that is being done (some demo and replacement of the vapor barrier) overlaps with other stuff we are contracting to do, so there will be a bit of a savings from the other contractors as well. Ultimately, it's costing us about $2000 extra, which is about half of our "surprise" budget for this one. So, hopefully there aren't too many more surprises! Bilge -
